My unique BMW Z4M roadster (silver / CSL wheels, AP brakes, Bilstein, Hardtop)
After 8 years of ownership I'm selling my beloved Z4M roadster...
Here are some pictures I took this summer to remember this great car once it is gone

Beautiful car, and it sucks having to say good bye (gone through it twice now). I wish BMW would just make the same car again, don't change a thing and I'd buy one brand new. Oh well, best of luck with your next car!

Maybe...but I could also regret keeping the Z4M and never buy that other car that is on my "want to have" list

I just came back to a M roadster after a 3 year hiatus from my M coupe. Went to 911S then back here. They just don't make cars like this anymore. NA ITB inline 6... Good luck!

I hope you are still getting these messages. What is that black mud guard called in front of the rear wheel? I'd like to buy one and can't find it anywhere. Thanks!

It's just a piece of black wrap/vinyl that was placed there as protection for stone chips. You could do this with X-pell, but this was done to resemble what owners on a 911 sometimes do The Z4M was a great car! I loved every minute of the 8 years of ownership and used it a lot. Crazy that it's already 5 years a go that I sold the car. This is the car that came instead of the Z4M

The main reason why I sold the Z4M; is because in essence I just did not use the Z4M that much anymore when the M2 arrived. I also had a manual M2 in my garage (which I still own) and I use(d) that car way more then the Z4M (also on track). Ok yes; the Z4M was more pure, special engine, compact and lighter then the M2...but the M2 is so fun, so capable, so practical (for my needs) that in the end the Z4M only came out of the garage with sunny weather (which was only a few moments a year). If I would not have bought the M2 in 2016 then I would probably not have sold the Z4M in 2018. Once I realised I was rarely using the Z4M anymore and I was only keeping it for sentimental value (my first BMW M) then I knew I would probably not miss the car and in all honesty I never missed it after selling. The money of the Z4M (I sold the car in 2018 for the same amount as I bought it in 2010) went to an investment and that investment ended up being a big change in our lives...so zero regrets in selling the Z4M and it made other things possible. Two years after selling the Z4M the Alpine A110 arrived in our garage...because we wanted another special and unique two seater sports car. My buddy stores a Z4M Coupe in a garage in our area. I sometimes drive it; but the Z4M does not excite me that much anymore as it once did. Still a great and special car (certainly for the money), but I have experienced other great cars (Porsche, Lotus, Alpine) in the meantime also. How does it feel when stepping out of the Alpine straight behind the wheel of a Z4M? Of course the Z4M feels oldschool and a less modern then the Alpine. For some reason the Z4M feels slightly slower then I remembered; while on paper they have somewhat the same performance numbers. The higher revving S54 straight-six engine is a dream when you talk about engine response and sound. The hydraulic power steering, has a more direct and communicative feel then all the modern ones. The worst thing about the Z4M are the horrible seats; they are so much worse then I remember. No support on the side, lower back or shoulders. Put some Recaro seats in the Z4M and its the best upgrade you could give it.

I also love the "donut" thickness steering wheel. It's one of the reason that draw me to the car to begin with!

I like my Z4M seats, totally fine. I do not find they lack support, the biggest complain is that the cushion is a bit hard, and there is no lumbar adjustment. But saying they are bad is an exaggeration.

they are terrible.... ever driven on track with them? lol. The lateral movement is insane, i mean you may be happy with them going to the supermarket, but if you drive this car as intended. they are crap, but they look nice.

Going back to the pictures of this car, I'm a newbie here, but have had my '06 coupe for almost two years....one of the first things I did to it was to remove the side markers, just like [Franzino](contact:83357) did on his car.
