Misfire Cyl 6 (N51)
Hi all, I made a post about this before on my profile but still no luck.
I have a 07 328xi E92 with the N51 (169k miles) and ever since my mechanic did my Starter and o2 sensor (bank 2 stream 1 — in engine bay on passenger side) I’ve been having a misfire in cyl 6. Now when I picked the car up I didn’t notice anything different (it drove fine) but later that same night I did some spirited driving and my exhaust sounded so weird and it wasn’t popping as it normally does. Then came the rough idle, the P0306 code (the only code on the car). So I did what anybody would normally do without going to the mechanic. I just bought a new coil and new spark plug for cyl 6. Still misfiring, still idling rough and my exhaust sounds muffled with no pops or burbles like I’m used to. Took it back to my mechanic yesterday and he swapped the injectors and the problem stayed on P0306. - Swapped & Changed Cyl 6 Coul - Swapped & Changed Cyl 6 Spark Plug - Swapped injector (no change because don’t wanna throw parts) Anybody have any idea what it could be? I just did an oil change last Sunday, I did the valve cover gasket in October, I’m just not sure what it is at all. I can provide sounds of my exhaust before and after if need be (just let me know) but based off what I’ve said what could be your internet diagnosis ? Thanks in advance |
