Help with grinding noise on intake side of engine
I have a 2008 328xi e90 with an n52 that has a grinding noise on the intake side which gets faster when first accelerating then goes away at higher rpm, will do it at idle as well.

if it goes away suddenly over 4k rpm, suspect disa valves rattle (if you have 'em!)
or maybe something related to oil pressure, a noise that gets faster with rpm could be lifters or nearby hardware, it may get better at higher rpm due to more oil pumping up there
