i've also run 245x35x20 on 10.5" wide rims no problems and presently run a 265x30x20 on a 11" wide rim on my crown without any issues. these are mild to medium stretches in the vip community, but we obviously don't track our cars Last edited by rusty_sojah; 05-30-2013 at 04:49 AM.. |

45 ish. on my daily fronts 225x35x20 on 20x9.5
45 ish on rears 265x30x20 on a 11" higher when i had more of a stretch at one point i did hit a pothole and broke the bead on a 245x35x20 on a 10.5 wide rim... all of these were on on nitto 555's and one pair of general exclaims i once tried to stretch a toyo expensive tire 255x30x20 on a 10.5 wide rim and this stretch seemed the most aggressive in appearance and in trying to get the tire to mount. i guess the tires themselves really can make or break a stretch; some stretch better than others. right now i'm trying to get some ballpark specs for when i finally get some wheels for my new to me z4. my other car is really aggressive so i am not going for this look again intentionally but a lot of the wheels i really like are in the 5x114.3 bolt spacing and the smallest adapters i have found are 15mm so that makes all the wheels i find in the 114.3 spacing 15mm more aggressive when i put them on the z therefore limiting the selection severely. at this point i'm thinking 18's or 19's, but would prefer a set already in the 5x120 and fairly light so i don't have to put on some heavy rims + adapters + extra lugs etc etc... |

Looks like CSL knockoffs, weight seems to be on the heavy side.

Josh those are super light.
I know unsprung weight is important but does 5 or 6 lbs really make that much difference I do not know the physics behind that? |

It's less weight for the suspension to move around. So in a word, yes.
Some say the rule of thumb is 1 lb of unsprung weight equals 10 lbs on the car. I think that's a bit exaggerated, but the ratio is at least 1:3 or 1:4.

I did end up buying these wheels for 2 reasons, price and style. A little heavy but the weights are as advertised on the company website. |

The wheels are Linea Corse LC 818. http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=6410 But I got a local CNC company to shaved off the centers for a higher offset since the original offset is for E9x. So now the fronts are ET34 and the rear ET41. But with a little more agressive negative camber in the rear I guess it would have cleared the fenders with ET37. Especially if the fenders are rolled. The fronts are more of an issue. With the tires I run and 8.5" w/ET34 it rubs alot. So I have installed adjustable camber plates to clear the fenders. Now its good. Maybe it would have been better with 225/35. The tires are Michelin Pilot SuperSport 235/35-19 and 265/30-19. If you like this look you could check out for example the Miro 111. I know there are also some other brands that have almost the same look.

[QUOTE=tonchy;14862419]Hi guys, could please someone tell me if 8,5Jx18, ET34 would be ok for E85, factory setup?
I'm positive for rear, but with doubts for front. Thanks. [/QUOTE the picture of the black coupe above has 8.5 e38 on the front and 9.5 e 42 on rear so you would be 4mm further out. |
