It’s easy!
It took longer to remove the junction box from the manifold than it did to remove everything else. Reason why I ziptied the box, next time should only take 5 min to remove the manifold.
I recommend removing the screws that hold the junction box on the manifold, rather than trying to unclip it from the bracket.

I'd order another belt tensioner & use your lifetime warranty for the part. When it comes in, swap it out and return the crappy one with the stripped t60, for a full refund.

Better than needing to get the belt off down the road and realizing you have to tread carefully!

I'd also look into investing into an 18", 1/2 drive power bar with a 1" extension, if you don't have one.

Also torx sockets wear down quickly if you use them a lot and own a mediocre, quality set like Lisle for example.

The best torx socket set I've ever owned is made by OTC.

I added the factory oil cooler with new gaskets.
New aluminum coolant fitting that bolts to the head.

While the manifold was off, I decided to clean the valves using carb clean and valve cleaner. This makes a mess and I recommend walnut blasting for a cleaner and better job and it costs about the same in material!

Added a T fitting on the vacuum line at the TB for PCV delete.

Zip tied the junction box that is attached to the manifold to the fuel rail.

Also may have found what injector may be causing me some issues! This index 1 injector.

Today I’ll probably enter hell and most likely remove the whole front end to swap in this oil cooler bracket.
How'd you actually get at cleaning the valves that way without leaving any gunk behind. Access through the opening looks very tight...

I used a soap dispenser to pump out all the valve and carb cleaner that turned into fluid.
Then I used a vacuum to to suck of any gunk and then while using the vacuum, I blew air in there.
Let the valve cleaner sit over night.
Pumped out, sprayed carb cleaner and brushed a bit then lit the cleaner sit a few minutes and pumped/vacuum/blew it out.
Did the carb cleaner step about 3 times to get them clean.

First few valves were trial and error and made a mess of the engine bay.

I installed a dual catch can set up today. My friend thinks there’s a more efficient way to run the PCV system. Anyone with great knowledge of the PCV system, please chime in this thread.
Thanks.

Nice Country Drive

Took it out for an hour to get it nice and warm down some old country roads. Still surprises me how much the E90 328 is on windy roads. Found an old airport to take cool pics. Love this car!

Finally installed my paddle shifters to the new Sport Steering Wheel, and bought some 18" rims. Waiting for the tires is killing me.

Installed a new gas cap. The rubber string broke on the oem and was bothering me.

Also installed a new cowl piece because the monkeys that replaced my first windshield broke some of the tabs.

Now I gotta wash that engine bay.

Does your gas cap click at the end or does it just go in? My old pre lci one clicked in and felt nice, my new one from oreillys feels cheap and just goes in like a regular cap.

It doesn't click, my old one clicked but then stopped clicking as well. This one I got from ecs tuning was pretty cheap so I can't complain.

Pulled my injectors to see if they were leaking. Every dam one put out a nice fine spray that you could barely see. So, $1400 later I have some on the way from fcp. They were -7 so I think they put in time. I noticed the starting issues at around 101k(3k ago). One more thing I won't have to worrie about replacing latter!

Installed this bar just for looks.
I didn’t want to cut the shroud so I placed it in the back. It’s barely noticeable and that was the whole point lol.
Not sure if the time spent putting it on was worth it...
