Main things I can improve on,
beginning there is a bump in torque that’s my clutch slipping, should be able to get some more torque for longer in the rev range when clutch is replaced.

FBO with MILVs, besides stock resonator stock muffler so that has to be hurting some top end too. Still in very happy with these numbers.

Winter Rims & Tires installed - heavier then summers

Also it’s RWD Xdelete so spinning of a transfer case as well. +10c maybe outside
This is awesome! Good job man - so all is well? Are you running with filters or a plenum?

Thank you

All is well, no codes, drives great, cruise control all the time. Still on the beta intake manifold with the k&n pre filters, excited to have a more final manifold!

The N52 trumpets are available for pre-order now:
https://22rpd.com/blog/n52-trumpets-...rders-open-now
https://22rpd.com/shop/product/181

Quote:
Introductory Pricing

$799 - Trumpets Only
$999 - Trumpets + Lid (For Filtered Applications)

Pre-order now at: https://22rpd.com/shop/product/181

We're officially opening pre-orders for the long-awaited 22RPD N52 Trumpets - a fully injection-molded intake runner system developed and tested in-house to unlock maximum performance gains for the N52 platform. This is the most complete and refined intake solution ever offered for this engine - designed to support both OEM+ builds and wild custom setups.

Pre-Order Options

Trumpets Only - $799
- Complete injection-molded trumpet stack system
- Designed to work with OEM-style lids or custom top-end designs
- DXFs provided for those fabricating or printing custom lids - think dual plenum designs, supercharger wedge intakes, turbo intakes, and more

Trumpets + Lid - $999
- Full trumpet stack system
- Injection-molded lid matched to trumpet geometry
- Lid includes:
- OEM MAP sensor mount
- EVAP port
- PCV connection
- Throttle body location closely matches OEM N54 for seamless integration

Engineering Notes

All testing and development was done using an open trumpet setup to streamline iteration. The performance gains come entirely from the trumpet and runner design - the lid and throttle body are not flow restrictions in our testing.

These trumpets have been beta tested on nearly three dozen cars worldwide - across every climate, from E85 to pump gas, daily drivers to track cars. We've proven the hardware works.
  • Software behavior may vary without the lid and matching throttle location
  • Some stock ECUs software's - particularly in AWD or automatic transmission cars may trigger limp mode or throttle inconsistencies without the lid.
  • Party mode software is still in beta - install at your own risk
  • We are actively working to improve compatibility across more software's, but there are thousands of permutations
  • For the most consistent, plug-and-play experience, we recommend the full system with lid

Boosted Applications Note

Preliminary FEA analysis shows these trumpets are structurally capable of handling boost, but real-world behavior will depend on heat, mounting support, and vehicle packaging.

Our goal is to test and validate boosted use cases and publish reliable pressure limits for common applications. Until then, use caution and let us know what works in your setup.

Fitment & Compatibility
  • Fits all N52B30 engines, including N52K and N52N
  • Also fits N51 and N53 engines (N53 must use the included lid)
  • OEM B30 intake port flange - not compatible with B25 intake ports
  • Fits most E9X, E8X, E6X, E89 Z4, and E70 X5 platforms
  • Compatible with OEM throttle body or N54 throttle body
  • Redesigned to use OEM lower gaskets and hardware
  • Built with OEM-style metal inserts for safe torque-to-spec - no risk of cracking under proper install

Technical Highlights
  • Smooth internal finish for optimized airflow
  • Textured outer surface for heat resistance and structural rigidity
  • Engineered for superior flow consistency and structural integrity compared to printed units
  • Maintains OEM hood clearance on all tested platforms
  • Stack height and throttle flange follow factory geometry

Installation
  • Full installation guide included with every kit
  • Requires standard hand tools
  • OEM-style install: no permanent modifications
  • Minor rerouting of PCV/EVAP lines may be needed when using the lid
  • Throttle adaptation/reset recommended after install
Quote:
Tuning Support
  • Free retune for customers from 1/1/25–6/23/25 upgrading to matching tune style
  • $160 retune for tunes 6–12 months old upgrading to matching style
  • Tunes over 12 months require new purchase
  • Email us if unsure about your status

Beta Trade-In Program
  • Return your beta trumpet system
  • Get discounted upgrade to final version
  • Email for a custom invoice

I read that, pretty vague in regards to if it comes with it or not. I'm assuming it's separate, and if thats the case it's a bit of a letdown

We have sent back the beta manifold in preparation for the final manifold with lid.
Now with a new engine installed (due to crank bolt being undone at a shop), we are back off MILVs for now

I know if you run the Manifold plus Lid, you can just run your stage 2 tune and adaptations will adjust as you have a sealed factory style system
and mainly need a custom tune if you want to run throttle-less, or if you want to optimize the more air coming into the system

I 3D printed a bracket that holds it to my chassis, has holes to allow zip ties to mount it.

I placed my pre-order for the velocity stacks with the lid back in June. I know in the latest blog post by 22RPD, they mentioned that they had one production unit manufactured. Anybody have any update since?
