Well if anyone wanted to ensure proper air flow and to ensure it goes one direction. Is it really needed? You of all would be a good person to ask. Doesn't hurt to install it, you just need to make sure you buy the right diameter one.

This is the only one I manage to fine that is a tight fit. By the way I got the hoses you recommended bro. Thank you for pointing that out to me as we speak I am doing this. I also got my inline check valve today but its too small so I will order that one.
