is there any way to clean the gloss trim on the x5 without leaving a residue?

Yes, use any quality interior detail spray and microfiber towel. Don't use a ton of product and wipe with towel. I don't know what you could have possibly done to result in that, but it looks like it was just sprayed and left. What product and method did you use?

i used the suds lab interior spray with a microfiber. then i saw it left that so i’ve tried water and other solutions but can’t get it off

From the Suds Lab website:

THE METHOD
Use at full strength for the tougher stains
and spills.

Dilution 10:1
Apply with sprayer and wipe off using a clean cloth or microfiber towel.

NOTE:
Do not use on suede surfaces or electronics. Do not let product dry on surface. Use only as directed.

If you sprayed directly and it dried partially before wiping, I guess it could leave that results. I'd try again with 2 towels, one for initial wipe and 2nd for final buff. I'd also dilute the product as recommended for normal use. For interior, I prefer spraying onto the towel and then wiping, rather than sprayer directly onto the interior.
