Intake camshaft
Hey guy,
I was working on my n52 engine and only to find that there is issue with starting. all my car does now is cranking cranking cranking. For a while i was trying to identiy the issue and i noticed that the intake camshaft inlet that i was working on is not depressing or for lack of better word compresssing and uncompressing the valve spring to the open and close the valve when I was rotating the engine which might or might not epxlian why the car is only able to crank but not starting because the valve is not opening. I can see motion on the exhaust side valve spring where they are being compressed and uncompressed when the engine is being rotated. so i am wondering if the intake camshaft side valve spring should have some type of motion like up and down when the engine is being rotated by hand? |

check eccentric shaft position, if at minimum lift intake valves will not move or move like 0.1mm.
You can turn valvetronic motor with a 4mm hex in the back if you fit it to the head with cover off
