Beating a dead horse part 2: front subframe reinforcement info dump
I've attached some information from BMW's technical training on chassis dynamics that supports reinforcing the front subframe using the M3 plate. However, I'm not sure how much rigidity is compromised when cutting the M3 plate as BMW emphasizes transverse rigidity.
The E90's V-brace is identified but there is no commentary on it. Maybe there is something to gain by adding a transverse brace across the rear of the subframe?
